WHO WE ARE
Cornerstone Creative Arts is a Petersburg, Virginia-based musical education and production company dedicated to fostering the connection between music, artistry, education, professional experience, and community.
Built on the belief that some of the most meaningful artistic education happens through experience, Cornerstone creates immersive opportunities where emerging artists learn by doing the work of the industry.
Our programs bring education out of the traditional classroom and into rehearsals, studios, performance venues, production meetings, workshops, and community spaces. Students and emerging artists work alongside experienced educators, artists, technicians, designers, and industry professionals as they take a project from its earliest creative ideas through rehearsal, production, performance, and reflection.
At Cornerstone, the production is part of the education.
Through focused skill training, hands-on production experience, mentorship, professional connections, and access to working artists and organizations, Cornerstone provides young artists with opportunities to discover their abilities, strengthen their craft, understand the professional creative process, and begin building pathways toward their own futures in the arts.

Through immersive productions, focused training, mentorship, and hands-on learning, we provide young artists with opportunities to develop their craft while experiencing the expectations, collaboration, responsibilities, and excitement of a real-world creative environment.
Our goal is not simply to teach students how to perform.
We teach them how to become artists, collaborators, creators, technicians, leaders, and creative professionals.
