BE PART OF WHAT MAKES IT HAPPEN.

Every performance, workshop, event, and creative experience is made possible by people willing to show up, pitch in, and help bring an idea to life.

At Cornerstone Creative Arts, volunteers aren't simply extra hands. They're part of the creative community we're building in Petersburg.

Whether you have theatre experience, professional skills you'd like to contribute, need volunteer or service hours, want to meet new people, or simply believe in what we're creating—there's a place for you here.

NO THEATRE EXPERIENCE? NO PROBLEM.

You don't need to know how to hang a light, build a set, or call a show to volunteer with Cornerstone.

Some opportunities require specific skills. Many don't.

We'll help connect you with opportunities that match your interests, experience, availability, and comfort level. And sometimes volunteering is the perfect way to discover something completely new.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Volunteer opportunities may include:

PRODUCTIONS
Set construction • Scenic painting • Props • Costumes • Wardrobe • Load-in + Load-out • Backstage Support • Run Crew

FRONT OF HOUSE
Ushers • Ticketing • Guest Services • Programs • Accessibility Support • Audience Experience

EVENTS + EDUCATION
Workshops • Community Events • Classes • Registration • Hospitality • Artist Support • Special Projects

COMMUNITY + OUTREACH
Community Engagement • Information Tables • Partner Events • Outreach • Special Initiatives

BEHIND THE SCENES
Administrative Support • Marketing • Photography • Videography • Social Media • Organization • Production Support

Have another skill you'd like to contribute? Tell us. Some of the best collaborations begin with someone bringing something we hadn't thought to ask for.

GIVE TIME. GAIN EXPERIENCE.

Volunteering can also be a way to learn how productions work, develop new skills, meet artists and professionals, explore creative careers, and become part of future Cornerstone opportunities.

Someone who begins by helping at an event might discover stage management.

Someone who helps paint scenery might become interested in scenic design.

Someone who volunteers front of house might eventually help produce an event.

That's our approach in action:

EXPOSURE → EDUCATION → TRAINING → EXPERIENCE → MENTORSHIP → PRODUCTION → CONNECTION → OPPORTUNITY

VOLUNTEER AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR A GROUP.

We welcome individual volunteers, students, families, businesses, civic groups, school organizations, community organizations, and other teams interested in serving together.

Group opportunities may be available for productions, special events, community projects, build days, and other Cornerstone Creative Arts initiatives.

READY TO PITCH IN?

Tell us a little about yourself, your interests, your availability, and any skills you'd like to share.

We'll keep you connected with upcoming volunteer opportunities as Cornerstone's productions, educational programs, and community events grow.

You don't have to be onstage to help create something unforgettable.

SHOW UP. PITCH IN. CREATE SOMETHING WITH US.

OUR COMMUNITY IS PART OF THE PRODUCTION.
